Watching how quickly Pilates

  • Fixes weaknesses
  • Challenges and corrects imbalances
  • Improves peoples mood
  • Works muscles you never knew you had!

I love it because

  • It’s efficient!
  • It works!
  • It compliments dancing!
  • I love to pay it forward
  • To give back to my clients
  •  I was guilty of doing everything for everyone else, not looking after MYSELF
  • Pilates helped bring back ME
  • I wanted to help others do the same
  • IT’S FUN!

How it feels

  • Mood adjuster
  • Exhausting and yet Energising
  • Daunting (at first)
  • Fun / Amazing
  • Targeted
  • Can’t think of the outside world
  • Can only focus on your body and your breath
  • Unlike anything you may have tried before

Why be a Pilates Instructor

Pilates just made sense to me! It compliments all the things I love to do!  Its detail orientated and goal focused.

Learning gymnastics as a child, Ballet throughout my schooling, Ballroom and Latin as an adult, I wanted to pass on the knowledge I had gained throughout the years.

After 3 babies I needed to feel good in my own skin again and tone up and that’s exactly what Pilates does!

Teaching Pilates has been the most rewarding of all my careers so far.

Helping people, regain strength after an injury, start to put their bodies higher on the priority list, or becoming the strongest, best versions of themselves.  I love to help them with it all.

“The man who uses intelligence with respect to his diet, his sleeping habits and who exercises properly, is beyond any question of doubt taking the very best preventive medicines provided so freely and abundantly by nature” ~ Joseph Pilates

We are located right next to the Parkhurst Shopping Centre ENTRY in between the Jolt Cafe and Priceline Pharmacy Parkhurst.

The Wunda Chair is a versatile and practical piece of equipment.  It’s designed to be a space saving alternative to a reformer with many of the same exercises and benefits.  It provides an all over body workout.

The Cadillac has all the bells and whistles.  It is the largest of all Pilates equipment and comprises mat, standing, sitting and laying down exercises.  It also uses resistance springs for arms and legs.  This machine will help even out imbalances as springs are independent of each other so the body can’t use its dominant side to compensate.

The beloved Reformer looks like a torture bed and for those that have done Pilates before it kind of is.  Pilates exercises no mater what piece of equipment your using is always targeted and efficient.  You will find muscles you didn’t know you had in ways you didn’t know you could activate them.  Using Spring resistance and your own body weight this machine tones, strengthens and builds muscles with a plethora of exercises that can be performed.

The Tower Combination Set up is like a stationary reformer.  It comprises the benefits and capabilities of the Cadillac with the spring resistance of the Reformer ensuring you use your entire body.  This set up is also used for our Mat classes so you don’t need to be on the floor.  Beginners, Intermediate and advanced can all utilise this machine in the same class and get the best out of their body and workout.

Incorporating Intermediate and Advanced alongside Beginner clients helps our Beginners know what to do by watching the experienced clients and our Intermediate/Advanced Clients can see where they started and what they have achieved with consistency.  It’s a win win!

At Passion for Pilates we strive for an environment of cheering each other on and building each other up.
